Designing an Urban Loft for Rock Icon Maria Brink: A Dream Come True

If you had the chance to design for anyone on this big-green Earth, who would you choose? Well, I experienced just that! Given the task of decorating a one-bedroom urban loft for anyone, in any style I wished, I chose one of my long-time heroes, Maria Brink. Maria is the baddest chick in metal with an incredibly inspiring backstory. Her band, "In This Moment," is my absolute favorite and has helped me navigate some wild times in my life. Maria is a mother, a rockstar, and a champion for women's rights. Her style is a unique blend of gothic, rock 'n' roll, and her own funky flair. Designing for such a distinct individual was incredibly enjoyable. I decided that the "Modern Gothic Glam" design style would suit her perfectly.

"In This Moment" records in Henderson, NV, so I situated her urban loft on the outskirts of Vegas, allowing her to enjoy both fun and relaxation while recording.
